Greeblemonkey photo contest

greeblemonkey has started a monthly photography contest. you win a cool badge. i really have not participated in photography contests, so this is my first for a blog contest. i have participated in flickr contests. anyway, she asked us to post a photo that we are really loving right now. i love this shot right now. i have no clue what it is but these are all over alaska. they are up during all seasons. in the winter the pods dry up but i still think they are beautiful. here is a shot of a spring one.
