I switched from blogger because I was having issues with people being able to comment. I like some of the features here on wordpress but I find it hard to follow blogs from here. Blogger keeps adding so many tools and nifty little gadgets that I am feeling it pull me back. I have been following from my google reader and I just found out that a lot of my blogs were dropped for some reason. So, for months I thought everyone was busy and not blogging as much. WRONG!
Any thoughts?
I agree blogger has its kinks but I love it just because I love having my list of blogs for the day.
Blogger may screw up from time to time (what doesn’t?) but they have added a lot of new features recently that make it so much better. I tried typepad and didn’t care for it (really didn’t want to pay for it) for a few reasons so I’ll stay with blogger. Maybe the lure is really telling you it’s time to make a change!! 🙂
I went from blogger to wordpress back to blogger. I now have one blog on wordpress (well, on the wordpress platform) and one on blogger!!! I love blogger because I have so much flexibility with design (but less with photo posting…I use photobucket to upload larger sized photos). But I love wordpress for more technical aspects. Oh gosh…if they could only combine the two…
So I bit ambidextrous…lol
here is my blogger blog:
http://whimsywispers.blogspot.com
My blog on wordpress is more “serious” in nature and my one on blogger is more light and fun.
Hope I didn’t just confuse you more!
Thanks, you were lots of help. =]
I think blogger is great, but I pay for typepad and really enjoy it too…. I never could get the hang of WordPress or some of the others.
I like typepad but I do not want to pay just yet. I like wordpress but you are right it is hard to get the hang of. I am still in the dark.
i have been on blogger since the beginning and I am used to it so I will stay for now ….like the price:)))
I need easy and it is…each I am sure has their good and bad
I have missed you … but like it when you post!
I’m a blogger fan…
this is my 3rd blogger blog for me and so far so good….
sure every once in awhile we have a little spat with it, but for the most part, we make a pretty good couple….
I tried blogger, but couldn’t upload the size photos I wanted without them looking pixelated and I didn’t want to have to use photobucket – one too many places to have photos to keep track of.
I’ve been using google reader for most blogs I follow, I use wordpress’s surfer for wordpress blogs. I’ve never had blogs dropped, didn’t know that could happen 😦
I’d love to try squarespace but I’m too cheap to pay for something I can get for free.
Good luck, I’ll follow along wherever you end up 🙂
i tried wordpress for my photography blog
but went back to blogger…
i have been with blogger for four years
and have never really had any issues with it…
it has only gotten better in my opinion…
{but i’m not one for change either..heehee}
good luck with your decision…
oh.
and i am probably one of the last people in the blogging world
who does not use a feeder of any sort…
i check the blogs in my sidebar daily…
starting off with the next unread one in my list…
so ineffiecient i know
but like i said…
i don’t like change.
hahaha.
I love WordPress! And Google Reader has been good to me for keeping up on all my 131 subscriptions.
