When you are a kid Christmas is magical and a time to receive all the gifts that the season can bring–as you get older Christmas changes somehow and you can only thing about the gifts that you are giving. Not that it is a bad thing but I feel we should take time and enjoy the gifts we receive this season. Some of the smallest gestures go such a long way–like the card above. This came all the way from England from a friend I have made on flickr. I was so excited to receive it and had no clue it was coming. I had to fight the feeling of wanting to make sure I sent a card in return as soon as possible–trying just to enjoy the moment. I guess my Christmas wish is that we will enjoy all the gifts this season brings.
More gifts I received this weekend…..

Don’t forget to check out BSM today.
Christmas cards bring me joy too. I love seeing what my friends come up with to showcase their families or sum up their year.
I love your holiday header!
And I really love your thought about enjoying our gifts. Gifts come in so many silent ways… a comment on my blog from a daughter (her gift of time), a phone call from an old friend, etc.
Also… making new blog friends… a wonderful gift.
Thanks,
Joni
I receive so much from YOU each time I come here ~you are so talented and such a blessing…

What a lovely display 🙂
What a lovely post! I’ve really been enjoying your Christmas posts. I am reflecting now on the gift of the lovely new snow we’re getting right now. Hope you’re getting some too to cover up that nasty ice. Stay warm! 🙂
