My husband and I have been married for 17+ years. We have three great kids ranging from 19 years to 15 years. When my husband married me, he also married my one year old boy. We have built a great life together, a life that continues to evolve.
Now we have one child moving away from us to start a life on his own, two children in high school, and we finally have time to ourselves once in a while. I think a lot of women worry about this chapter of their lives. I have heard women say that they are worried that their lives are so full of the kids that they will have nothing in common as a couple. I have never really worried about that. I knew if that happened we would figure it out, together.
Images of us
This one was taken to tease my oldest son after he passed a state trooper and received his first ticket. I titled it “OK kids, NEVER ever pass a trooper when you are speeding!” My son laughed and said that we were crazy. Crazy but never boring, I hope.
It was leap year and everyone on flickr was planning fun sp’s leaping in the air. I knew that was not a shot that I could pull off so we decided to do this one.
I have to say that he is such a good sport. I realized that I never had a shot of him eating a doughnut in his uniform. He played along and then informed me that this was such a cliche.
This was taken tonight at 11pm snuggled up on the couch together. I have no make up and I look awful but this is true image of us. We are kind of low maintenance and it works. This is us, now.
